LSF link

Tutor: Mathias Bühler (Mathias.Buehler@econ.lmu.de)

Teaching content: This course builds on the lecture and propels students to the research frontier. How do recent papers identify issue with common estimators, and how do they solve these?

Requisites: Course “Causal inference” (Mathias Bühler)

Audience: Phd students and Master students in statistics and economics

Evaluation: paper presentation and written term paper (see ECTS credits)

ECTS credits:

Statistic Master students: After the kick-off meeting, students choose a paper, then present the paper at the end of the semester. For 3 ECTS this suffices. Students can also register for 9 ECTS, but then also need to write a term paper, to be submitted after the presentation.

Master of Science students in Economics: To acquire 12 ECTS credits students from the Master of Science in Economics have to write a term paper and have a presentation; the 3 ECTS- and 9 ECTS-option is not open to them.
